In February 1983, the Maple Ridge Music Society held its first concert at Westacres, home of the Eikelenboom famiily. This successful event was repeated numerous (about 200!!!) times in the following 40 years, attracting talent of world class.

Each winter, for some 40 years, the Maple Ridge Music Society presented a series of chamber music concerts. at WESTACRES, a well-kept 20-acre farm, close to the centre of Maple Ridge. The house, at the end of a driveway lined with fruit trees, has a large music room that looks out on a beaver pond, surrounded by large cedar and maple trees. The concerts came to an end because of the pandemic but the Society has now started offering some public concerts again, not at WESTACRES but at various other locations in Maple Ridge. The concerts are and will be continued to be announced in this blog.
