For 40 years Josine Eikelenboom held intimate classical chamber concerts in the large music room at her house on her farm called Westacres. On the occasion of the celebration of the fortieth anniversary at Westacres on March 11th 2023 Mrs. Eikelenboom recalled the past of the Maple Ridge Music Society. The Lafeyette String Quartet is hrilled to perform Vivian Fung’s quartet “Spiraling” commissioned by the LSQ.
Shostakovich Quartet No. 4 and Beethoven’s Quartet Op. 59, No 3 are also on the program.
These four musicians are teaching at the University of Victoria, BC, combining this with tours throughout the American and European continents. They have won numerous competitions and are teaching many workshops and master classes throughout Canada and the USA.
