In this genre-bending program, Somerset Trio brings together three monumental figures of music history who have all played unique roles in shaping and redefining music, both during their lifetimes as well as in their legacies. Years and even centuries after their rise to fame, each one's outstanding musical contributions remain an inspiration to artists around the world today. Somerset's approach to each musical style is energetic and passionate, with the objective to endorse the integrity of all the music they perform, whether multi-movement work or simple song. Featured on this diverse program are Beethoven's Piano Trio in B-flat Major Op.97 ("Archduke") -- a highly inspired composition at the peak of his "heroic" period; Brahms' Piano Trio No.1 in B Major, Op.8 -- a youthful and exuberant work with his trademark long and lush melodic lines; and, of course, a great selection of some of The Beatles' top hits -- all creatively and thoughtfully arranged by Somerset Trio.
